Other stuff
Since there really isn't any concrete news on the adoption front I figured I would blog about the other stuff going on. Mostly I sit on the sofa and surf the internet about additional adoption news. Sad really, but it is true.
Well, the major news in our house is that on Wednesday the 9th I had surgery. Now most of our blog followers are our family members and most of you already knew this little tidbit. For those of you not "in the know" that is the excitement. I happened to find out that I had a significant uterine fibroid and endometriosis. Fun stuff. It actually answered some huge questions we had. Like, "why can't we get pregnant?"
So week before last I spent 3 fun filled days in the hospital. This is the first time I had ever been hospitalized, and I am here to tell you I don't wish to go back any time soon. I had to share a room with another person, the food was terrible and the nurses were slow. Of course the exception was the nursing student (yes, nursing student) that was there to wait on me hand and foot. I guess that sign that says "Sucker" on my forehead was blinking again. Actually, I should say for a nursing student she did a fantastic job! Kudos to her.
Since being home I have done nothing more than lay on the couch and yes, surf the internet for more adoption information. Of which there is none. For those of you who don't know me I refer you to an earlier post about my high strung state of being. My family is so concerned that I am over doing it. Personally I think I am doing fine. My stomach muscles feel like someone beat the heck out of me, but other than that the dizzyness, nausea and most of the pain is gone. My issue is when I put on shoes and get out of the house.
I tried the mall with my mom on Friday (not today, don't worry we weren't trapped in some psycho mall shooting). The mall wasn't such a good idea. Back pain and heart burn something fierce. I then tried the grocery store yesterday. Again with the back pain. Today was Target. Back pain again, but not as bad. This does not bode well for returning to my church job on Tuesday. This will also put a damper in my Thanksgiving feast this week. Guess I will have to go back to, "Derek, can you bring me...". Yeah right. I gotta get off this couch!!!
In the mean time, I too will pass on a little game for all of you. I will say I got this off of Rhonda's blog.

Here are the rules:
* Everyone has to cross the river.* Only 2 persons on the raft at a time.* Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft.* The Father can not stay with any of the daughters without their Mother's presence.* The Mother can not stay with any of the sons without their Father's presence.* The thief (striped shirt) cannot stay with any family member if the Policeman is not there.* To start the game click on the big blue circle on the right.* To get the people on the raft click on them.* To move the raft click on the red dot at the top of the pole on the opposite side of the river.

Try to time how long it takes you. Post your time in the comment section. If anyone beats Derek I will bring you back a bar of Russian chocolate. His time is 15 minutes. Good Luck!!!

Glad to hear that your surgery went well....hope the after-effects are short lived. As a fellow AP, I live in your world of "wait and see" but believe that things will be moving quickly in the near future. God bless....

Well I can't say I've beat you guys. It took me well over half an hour to figure it out!
